The Nokia lost $ 1.2 billion in the quarter. But the news that drew the most attention in the report released by the company on Thursday (26) was not the results of its alarming, but the revelation that Microsoft paid for the Nokia Phone using Windows on their devices. And the values were high for this payment: $ 250 million (or $ 435 million). Nokia classifies this amount as "payment platform support" and explains that this is only the first of many payments that Microsoft will hold over time for the Finnish manufacturer then loaded onto the Windows Phone project. The expectation is that the total payment from Microsoft to Nokia to reach the billions of dollars.
Taking into account the fact that Nokia has released so far only three Windows Phone, the value is really high - but pales next to the hole total of Nokia's operations in the period. Only Lumia 800 and 710 are available to consumers (the Lumia 900 hit the market yet).
