On Wednesday (14) to Motorola Mobility announced the arrival of a tablet in Brazil: 2 Xoom Media Edition. This is the second tablet online Xoom, who arrived in the U.S. to leak when I was still in the prototype phase. Outside it was officially announced in November and the first time he was introduced to the Brazilian press.
As expected, the Xoom 2 ME comes with a screen 8.2 inches TFT LCD with 1280 x 800 resolution and protection Gorilla Glass. Inside a 1.2 GHz processor, 1 GB of RAM, 32 GB of storage, 1.3 megapixel front camera, rear camera 5 megapixel with LED and LED flash, microUSB, microHDMI and infrared sensor. The ME 2 Xoom only comes with Wi-Fi, and will be assembled in Brazil, coming standard with Android 3.2.
There are also two models of Xoom with larger screens and 3G connectivity, but Motorola has not said when to toss them in the country. About upgrading to Android 4.0, the company said only that she is studying to be done, and that there is a forecast for the update to happen.
Here in Brazil the Xoom 2 ME will come at a price a little lower than those of other Android tablets: £ 1,299. Motorola will begin selling it from the next 20 days at retail stores and e-commerce in Brazil.
