The variety of handsets launched by Samsung presents positive results for the South Korean manufacturer. In a press release issued on Sunday (11), reports that the company surpassed 300 million phones shipped to authorized dealers and operators around the world. The manufacturer informed that the mark was reached in late November, breaking a month before the mark of 280 million units shipped in 2010. With this, mark the end of 2011 submissions will be even higher than the previous year.
Samsung credits much of the success of sales in the years to the great "mix" of products launched, highlighting the main Samsung Galaxy S II with dual-core processor and 4.3-inch screen, and that the brand alone reached 10 million units sold in five months. He was one of the few smartphones on the market that has reached that mark in such a short time. The leader, however, remains the iPhone. The latest version of Apple's handset has sold 4 million units only on the weekend of its release. To increase the product mix, the South Korean manufacturer has extended the maximum range of models of the Galaxy, releasing models with various specifications and proposals. And it seems the company will repeat the formula in 2012.
JK Shin, president of Samsung's mobile division, intends to expand this success, and the trend is that the company provides next-generation smartphone as early as the beginning of the year, with the possible launch of Samsung Galaxy S III, which promises to be much faster than its predecessor.
